Product Features

Vehicle Seat Installation – Designed to be fitted directly onto a compatible vehicle bench seat or individual vehicle seat.

Rear Attachment Straps – Securing straps run vertically around the rear of the vehicle seat for installation.

5-Point Harness Design – Provides secure positioning support, with the crotch strap optional where it is not required.

Two-Piece Construction – Includes a torso section and seat strap to make fitting and positioning easier.

Pre-Fit Torso Section – The torso section can be fitted before entering the vehicle to assist with transfers and preparation.

Carer Assistance – Harness straps can be held by a carer while accompanying the passenger to the vehicle.

Optional Cross Strap – An additional cross strap is available to help keep the shoulder straps securely positioned.

Installation Access – Requires access to the rear of the vehicle seat and a suitable gap between the seat base and backrest.

Multiple Transport Applications – Suitable for compatible buses, taxis and approved air travel, subject to the relevant transport provider or airline approval.

Houdini Vehicle Harnesses are designed to provide additional postural support and positioning for passengers with disabilities during vehicle travel. They may also assist passengers who have difficulty remaining safely seated or who may attempt to move out of position while the vehicle is in motion.

The range includes several harness options to suit different support needs, including the Houdini 13, 22, 27, 28 and 31 Harnesses. Each model should be selected according to the passenger’s individual requirements, with further product information available in the brochure under the Resources tab.

Houdini Vehicle Harnesses are designed to be used directly on the vehicle seat once the passenger is tall enough to be correctly positioned and secured using the vehicle’s standard seatbelt. The harness provides additional postural support, while the vehicle seatbelt remains the primary occupant restraint.

A client-specific risk assessment is recommended before use to ensure the selected harness is appropriate for the passenger’s individual positioning, support and behavioural needs.
