Technology That Fits You - Not the Other Way Around

Technology That Fits You - Not the Other Way Around

At Astris PME, we’ve always believed assistive technology should feel personal. Because behind every piece of equipment is a real person - with their own goals, routines, relationships and aspirations.

Made for Me gives voice to how we’ve always worked. It’s not a new way of delivering care, but a clear expression of our long-standing commitment to designing assistive technology around the individual - not the other way around.

Every solution we deliver is thoughtfully customised. Not just to support movement or positioning, but to support everyday life - from morning routines to meaningful moments, now and into the future.

This is technology designed with purpose, care and intention - and built around you.

Assistive technology should never feel generic. ‘Made for Me’ is our commitment that every solution we deliver is personal, purposeful and designed around the individual using it.”
— Steve Joyce, CEO, Astris PME

Why “Made for Me” Matters

Living with disability can already come with enough complexity.  Equipment that doesn’t quite fit, doesn’t integrate into daily life, or requires constant compromise only adds to that burden.

That’s why personalisation has always been central to how we work.

Rather than starting with catalogues or specifications, we start with conversation. We take the time to understand what matters to you - how you live, what challenges you face, and what you want to achieve. Only then do we begin shaping a solution.

Because when assistive technology is truly made for you, it doesn’t just function better — it feels better.

A Personal Approach, Backed by Expertise

Made for Me reflects the balance we’ve always held between empathy and expertise.

Our team works closely with participants, families, carers and healthcare professionals to ensure every solution is clinically sound, functionally appropriate and personally meaningful. From complex mobility and seating to positioning, standing and lying systems, every decision is guided by both professional insight and human understanding.

We don’t believe in shortcuts — and we don’t disappear once equipment is delivered. Instead, we stay connected, refining, supporting and adapting solutions as needs evolve.

Our Methodology: Finding The Perfect Fit

Personalisation isn’t a single step - it’s a process. Our Made for Me methodology ensures each solution is carefully shaped, refined and supported over time.

Understand

We begin by listening. Before discussing equipment, we take the time to understand your story — your condition, your routine, your goals and what a good day looks like for you. This foundation allows us to design solutions that fit your whole life, not just your physical needs.

Partner

Great outcomes are built together. We collaborate closely with families, carers, therapists and clinical teams, recognising that shared insight leads to better decisions. Human connection and trust guide every step of the process.

 Personalise

No two solutions are the same. We explore, define and source equipment that aligns with each individual’s needs — from core functionality to fine details that support comfort, confidence and independence.

 Perfect

Finding the right equipment is just the beginning. We refine, adjust and enhance each solution, ensuring it integrates seamlessly into daily life. Because it’s the small details that make the biggest difference.

Support

Our relationship doesn’t end at delivery. From servicing and maintenance to upgrades and ongoing care, we stay connected — adapting solutions as lives and needs change.

Introducing the 'Made for Me' Magazine

Stories, insight and real-world experience - shared with purpose

The Made For Me Magazine is a new way for Astris PME to inform, inspire and connect with clients, families and therapists across Australia.

Created as an extension of our vision, the magazine brings together lived experience, practical guidance and professional insight - all in one place. It reflects what matters most to us: people, partnership and assistive technology that truly fits real life.

This first edition celebrates real clients, families and communities, sharing personal stories that highlight both the challenges and the life-changing impact of assistive technology. Alongside these stories, you’ll find trusted information designed to support confident decision-making and everyday use.

Whether you’re exploring options for the first time, supporting someone else, or working as a clinician, Made For Me is designed to be practical, reassuring and genuinely useful.

Discover What’s Made for You

Finding the right assistive technology starts with exploration.

Browse our extensive range of mobility and positioning equipment and add anything that catches your interest to your enquiry list. When you’re ready, simply send through your details - and we’ll take it from there.

One of our Specialist Consultants will arrange a time to meet with you and your Allied Health Team (OT / PT), bringing selected equipment out for you to trial for free. You’ll be able to touch it, feel it, adjust it and take it for a test drive - because the right solution is something you experience, not just read about.

From there, we take the time to truly get to know you. Your goals, your routines, your environment and the people around you all matter. Working together with families, carers and therapists, we refine and personalise solutions until they fit seamlessly into your life.

Because when assistive technology is made for you, it feels right — and that’s when real confidence and independence begin.
