Scooped Wedges Support & Positioning

Scooped wedges are designed to support prone positioning, comfort, and the development of gross motor skills for both children and adults with additional support needs. They can be a useful aid in therapy and positioning programs, helping users engage more comfortably in supported upright and floor-based activities.

The scooped design allows the user to be positioned in prone more securely, helping reduce the risk of rolling off the wedge. Prone positioning can assist in reducing the effects of gravity experienced in upright positions and may also help support stretching of flexed hips and knees.

These wedges can also be used as part of activities involving walking, rolling, and crawling up and down inclines, which may help encourage balance, coordination, and gross motor development.

For users with reduced head and neck extension, the wedge is available with an optional headrest. The headrest also includes hook-and-loop straps to help support the pelvis and legs for added positioning stability. Both the wedge and headrest are covered in water-repellent PVC-coated polyester for durability and easier cleaning.
