Spex Vigour Mid Backrest

This rigid, highly adjustable backrest is designed to provide effective mid-thoracic support while allowing for unimpeded arm movement through its scapular cut-outs. Suitable for active wheelchair users, it is lightweight yet durable enough to meet the demands of everyday use.

The backrest is designed for easy installation on most wheelchairs and offers exceptional adjustability, including backrest angle and seat depth adjustment, which can be carried out while the user remains seated in the wheelchair. This supports more efficient setup and easier fine-tuning to individual needs.

A ventilated spacer fabric and shell system helps improve airflow through the backrest, supporting day-to-day comfort. The backrest also comes with an additional positioning kit, including lateral stability wedges and a lumbar pad, allowing the setup to be customised for individual postural requirements.

For added strength and stability, four heavy-duty attachment brackets secure the backrest firmly to the wheelchair canes, helping provide a solid fit with minimal movement or wobble.
